I did not realize the extent of this until I experienced the community around Kpop (to any ARMY reading this: hey!). Despite the language barrier on all sides, everyone embraced each other because of their shared love of music. 

 

Simple things, like music, bring us together. And I wanted to create a platform that could facilitate understanding so that we can all live the moment with each other. This inspired the name OKAYPOP!, a combination of the words "okay", cited to be the most frequently spoken and written word on the planet, and "pop", taken from the phrase "popular culture".

Okay is a word that transcends language barriers and pop culture are ideas that unite us together in our everyday lives no matter where you are in the world.

Because we can only connect with each other when we understand each other.
